Antique sideboard buffet

Not sure what the correct name for this piece is but it's a real beauty with unique features that I wanted to share. Notice the ball and claw foot and the shelf supports shaped like a lion head.

Antique Books

A great group of titles here...only one has a date 1919.
These are a wonderful addition to our shop. Titles include Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Oliver Twist, Notre Dame, Catherine, The Count of Monte Cristo and The Three Musketeers.

Flowers and Pom Poms!

Just some additional colors on the flowers and some multicolored pom poms.

20"x30" tissue paper - 12 sheets 3 of each color

These flowers use two sheets of tissue paper cut in half so you have four pieces, accordian folded taped or wired in center, fluffed and small tissue flower added to center.

Large Flowers...still

Okay...I can stop anytime I want...well, maybe, but just not right now! I'm just glad I've got some wall space at the shop! These are in my office but they are a little large for the space especially the blue one but isn't it pretty?! My mom's favorite color!

On the large blue flower I made the outer petals a little simpler than the previous large flowers. I thought there might be less drooping from the top. The center is five coffee filters scrunched together.

The other flowers are about 13" across.

DIY - Large Tissue Paper Flower

I thought I would share how I created this wall flower which measures about 32" across...in other words, it's HUGE! It's fun and playful and over the top.

For the largest outer petals I use the full sheet of tissue paper
For the middle petals I use 2/3 of the sheet and
for the smallest inner petals I use half.

Pink Flower Power!

Whimsical and fun are how I would describe these fun flowers. I saw an amazing photo of free standing gorgeous paper flowers but most of us don't have the space to pull of that much drama but I thought it would be fun to have a giant flower on the wall so I've done my simplified version. I bought some tissue paper from the dollar store and want to do some more in other colors.

The inspiration and instructions are at this link on Design Sponge blog.
